Professional Activities 2017-2018



In October 2017, I took a new position as director of music at SS. John & Bernard Parish, Benton Harbor, Michigan. Duties include directing the adult choir, the children's choir, and contemporary group, as well as accompanying singers on piano and organ. 


Recent Activities

December 9, 2018: I played harpsichord and organ for the Kalamazoo Singers' concert "A Baroque Christmas," featuring music by Bach and Handel: First Presbyterian Church, Kalamazoo. I also served as orchestra contractor.

June 3, 2018: I accompanied the Kalamazoo Singers for their "Concert in the Park" at Bronson Park.

April 14, 2018: I sang with the Kalamazoo Singers at First Methodist Church, Kalamazoo, Michigan, for their "Royal Voices" concert, including pieces by Britten and Brahms.

February 25, 2018:  I accompanied the Kalamazoo Singers in their "The People Sing" concert at First Presbyterian Church, Kalamazoo.

December 9, 2017: I accompanied the Kalamazoo Singers in their "Jazzy Christmas" concert at First Presbyterian Church, Kalamazoo, and was featured playing on three Vince Guaraldi pieces.

May 7, 2017: The Kalamazoo Singers premiered my commissioned piece High Flight (based on the poem by John Gillespie Magee, Jr.) for their Fortieth Anniversary concert at WMU's Dalton Center Recital Hall.

March 31 and April 1, 2017: I performed two pieces during the SCI National Conference at WMU: Dan Cavanagh's From the Barrage Comes Clarity with trumpeter Robert White, and Robert G. Patterson's song cycle American Pierrot with baritone Carl Ratner.

March 11, 2017: I played organ with the Kalamazoo Singers and orchestra on their "Choral Classics" Concert at First United Methodist Church, Kalamazoo.
