In October 2017, I took a new position as director of music at SS. John & Bernard Parish, Benton Harbor, Michigan.

I will play with the Kalamazoo Singers for their upcoming "Concert in the Park" at Bronson Park, June 3, 2018, at 4:00pm.

Recent Activities

April 14, 2018: I sang with the Kalamazoo Singers at First Methodist Church, Kalamazoo, Michigan, for their "Royal Voices" concert, including pieces by Britten and Brahms.

February 25, 2018:  I accompanied the Kalamazoo Singers in their "The People Sing" concert at First Presbyterian Church, Kalamazoo.

December 9, 2017: I accompanied the Kalamazoo Singers in their "Jazzy Christmas" concert at First Presbyterian Church, Kalamazoo, and was featured playing on three Vince Guaraldi pieces.

May 7, 2017: The Kalamazoo Singers premiered my commissioned piece High Flight (based on the poem by John Gillespie Magee, Jr.) for their Fortieth Anniversary concert at WMU's Dalton Center Recital Hall.

March 31 and April 1, 2017: I performed two pieces during the SCI National Conference at WMU: Dan Cavanagh's From the Barrage Comes Clarity with trumpeter Robert White, and Robert G. Patterson's song cycle American Pierrot with baritone Carl Ratner.

March 11, 2017: I played organ with the Kalamazoo Singers and orchestra on their "Choral Classics" Concert at First United Methodist Church, Kalamazoo.

December 10, 2016: I played piano and organ with the Kalamazoo Singers on their "Candlelight Reflections" concert at First Presbyterian Church, Kalamazoo, at 7:00pm. I also served as orchestra contractor.

October 30, 2016: My choral piece Fire of Love was premiered at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church in honor of the parish's fiftieth anniverary during 11am Mass.

September 23, 2016: I performed excerpts from my composition Variations on "Barbara Allen" for the Kalamazoo Singers Gala fundraiser at the Kalamazoo Institute of the Arts at 7pm. I also accompanied vocal solos, duets, and ensemble pieces.

July 19, 2016: My commissioned hymn "To God We Sing Our Praise" was premiered by the choir at St. Basil's Catholic Church in South Haven, Michigan. The hymn was written to commemorate the renovation of the church sanctuary.

April 16, 2016: My piece Three Jazz Intermezzi was premiered by flutist Tabatha Easley and percussionist Justin Alexander on Saturday, April 16, at 8pm: Sonia Vlahcevic Concert Hall, Virginia Commonwealth University.

February 21, 2016: I accompanied the Kalamazoo Singers in their concert The World At War: Love From Home at Chapel Hill United Methodist Church in Portage, Michigan.
